GRD simulator
The simulator talks to your box as a grid operator (DSO) would, through the SmartGridready interface. It runs in your browser: nothing to install.
Step by step
In the casasmooth app, under Energy › Grid (expert mode), create a simulation token. It is shown only once: copy it.
The simulator knows your box through its SmartGridready description (EID). It is the same for every casasmooth box.
Load the EID, then enter in base_uri the address you use to open the app remotely (https://….casasmooth.net, with no port and no “/:28100”), and the token in api_key. To see how the box reacts, also fill in the Evidence API: the address https://….casasmooth.net/api/sgr/evidence, the header Authorization, and the value Bearer followed by the same token.
In the Simulator tab, send a quick scenario (lock-out, reduction, power limit) or start an automatic scenario, and follow on the timeline the grid operator's command next to your box's reaction. When stopped, the box always returns to normal operation. The Compliance tab runs the SmartGridready tests and produces an audit report. Every command is written to your box's simulation journal, kept apart from that of a real grid operator.
With a simulation token, the simulator really commands your devices: one hour at most per command, never against a real grid command, and the token expires after seven days. Revoke it in the app after the test.
The simulator keeps neither your token nor your box's address beyond your session, and the casasmooth cloud holds no key to your home.
