Away mode changes everything, not just electricity
A press on the Away badge triggers a global change: heating in economy mode per room, security maintained (or even reinforced), presence-related automations paused, EV charging blocked, and – for a holiday home – a gradual return of heating before your arrival. A new press upon your return restores normal targets.
Temporary access without handing over your keys
To have someone water the plants or feed the cat, create a person-specific PIN access, valid for the chosen period and expiring automatically at the end of the stay. It can also deactivate Away mode and security just before their arrival, then reactivate everything (security rearmed, states restored) after their departure.
Presence simulation: A true replay of your lighting habits
casasmooth records a snapshot of the lights actually on every minute. When the house is detected as empty (or on manual activation), playback mode selects a past day – precise or random among available ones – and replays its lighting minute by minute, at the right time. Not a fictional schedule generated by an algorithm: a faithful replay of your own behavior, with only the day chosen randomly. A camera simulation also exists in parallel (Enhanced Camera).
Security: SMS alerts, no passive surveillance
A weighted alert score per sensor and per room triggers a configurable escalation chain – push, then SMS, then voice call or email. Critical events (smoke, CO, gas, broken glass) trigger the alarm immediately, without waiting. Cameras are themselves monitored (cutoff, obstruction), and everything is logged.
Remote access included in all plans
The encrypted tunnel (<your-ID>.casasmooth.net) is an always-active, everywhere-included infrastructure – not reserved for Premium or Professional. These tiers mainly enrich the mobile app (energy/security panels, interactive plan), not remote access itself.
